Southwest Public Power District is contracted with Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) to perform the duties of our after hours on-call service. Any calls made after normal business hours are forwarded to NPPD’s Call Center located in Norfolk, Nebraska.
When you make an after-hours call, you must call our normal after-hours numbers of (308) 285-3295 or toll free 1-800-379-7977. Continue to use these numbers to call in and report your outages or any other issues that arise.

The Call Center records every call that is made along with the specific problem, time, etc. We are then able to track trouble calls to determine if a specific line is giving us problems, what type of problem is occurring, and if it is happening at one time of the night more often than another.
If we notice an abnormal trend on a specific section of line, we are able to assign our crews to closely investigate that line to locate the cause of the problem.
