SWPPD's goal is to keep you informed in the event of a major storm that impacts your electrical service. Outages cannot always be prevented. Storms, high wind, lightning, tree contact, contact by animals and vehicle accidents are some of the most common causes. Widespread outages caused by wind and ice storms take time to repair. Rest assured that our personnel will report to work any time of the day or night if the outage conditions require it. When our area is experiencing power outages, stay informed through our Facebook and Twitter pages.
